How to Configure NTP Server Using Ubuntu

Assallamualaikum... NTP Server is protocol in the network to doing synchronization of the clock in a computer system and network.

1. Enter to the root mode



2. Type apt-get install ntp to install NTP Server to the Ubuntu
3. After that, edit ntp.conf in the directory etc

 4. Remove hastag in the word server 0.id.pool.ntp.org like the picture below
if you use IP DNS you can type server IP DNS

 5. Add nomodify notrap

6. And you can check with ntpq -p


NTP use port com UDP No 123. The NTP Project conducts Research and Development in NTP and produces the Official Reference Implementation of NTP along with the Implementation Documentation.
